As one of the Midlands’ trickiest mazes, be prepared for lots of dead ends before you eventually reach the mosaic dragonfly at the core.

Churchfields Maize Maze, Worcestershire

Spanning eight acres, this maze near Evesham reinvents its fun design yearly. Families love the quiz trails and play zones.

As one of Europe’s largest mazes cut beautifully in fields of corn, it promises hours of getting lost with surprises like quiz trails and activities dotted along the way. Don’t miss the host of kids’ rides and play zones afterwards too!

Sandwell Valley Maize Maze

Just ten minutes from Birmingham city centre yet nestled amidst the leafy Sandwell Valley countryside lies Forge Mill Farm’s magnificent maze.

This intricate six acre labyrinth sees pathways wind endlessly through dense towering corn for hours of rural fun, a fantastic, filled day out.

Special themed trails are revealed here each summer from dinosaur hunts to superhero quests, expect new challenges. When you finally escape, refuel in the café or let kids roam free at the farmyard play areas.

Arley Arboretum’s Maze, Worcestershire

Fancy getting lost amongst the trees? This leafy labyrinth is a nature-lover’s dream, crafted from over 2,000 hornbeam plants lies within the picturesque Arley Arboretum countryside garden.

As one of England’s longest hornbeam mazes, finding your way through the densely planted passages and rare trees while navigating its paths, proves a true test even for seasoned explorers.

Webbs Hedge Maze, Worcestershire

This beautifully sculpted grand hedge design at Webbs Garden Centre features over 1,500 neatly trimmed yew trees across nearly an acre.

Meander along its smoothly mown grass pathways, encountering twists, turns and dead-ends aplenty in your quest to discover the central mosaic monument. 

With classic garden benches tucked within the living leafy passageways to rest weary legs, it’s an idyllic green getaway – perfect for a bit of leisurely climb or a nice walk.

Lichfield Maize Maze

Three miles of pathways through towering maize, plus pumpkin patches. Fantastic for teams.

Using aerial shots to navigate this monster maze is practically cheating… but we won’t tell. After all that puzzling you’ll have worked up an appetite, so grab a bite at their Chestnut Horse Farm gifts shop.

This spot is just a short drive from Pier 52 – one of the West Midlands’ best Paddleboarding spots, and close to Cannock Chase Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so you could add both of these to your itinerary to complete your day out!

Fun challenge: See if you can collect puzzle pieces as you weave through the maze, then assemble them to reveal a special image.

Elton Giant Mazes, Gloucestershire

Fancy tackling the world’s tallest maize maze? You’ll need your wits to conquer this epic structure’s dizzying high bridges and tunnels.

Spanning several levels with over three miles of pathways, shortcuts and false trails to beat, only the best maze masters will make it out. Just try not to get vertigo!
